I don't think there was that much out there today. I think Phoenix is in a win now attitude which they'll see payoff as a second round appearance. We all know how fulfilling those are!
Salary caps make it difficult for impact players with big contracts to move. See Brad Boyes! I still think he's going to come around, though.

I would hope that the Blues are working on something BIG. Not bragging or boasting, I am a first year season ticket holder and I was expecting more from the team this year than last. Now, they are raising ticket prices for next year and they aren't going to make a DECENT trade. It almost makes me think of the St. Louis Cardinals.

It's getting pretty close to the end of the deadline with nothing being done. Obviously D'Agonstini is going to replace Winchester next year, but in my opinion, you have some players that you could move NOW to receive some real help. I'm still a fan of the early rumored trade of Berglund and whoever to Carolina for C Eric Staal. If you want your team to be better, YOU NEED TO SHAKE IT UP AND DO SOMETHING DRASTIC! Just sayin'. I also think that if you can get either Halak or Schneider from Vancouver that helps out for next year.

Weber thickens the logjam on the Blueline. Halak is who you want, but will Montreal do it. They are rumored to be in on Horton and they could be waiting for FLA to move Vokoun to make a deal.

If the Blues can then deal someone on the Blueline for some help up front...It would be a good deal. I don't count D'Agonstini as the needed help up front.

Fallon has some potential to be a number two in this league. Other than that, not much to this deal.

I do not disagree with you but we must also remember that the NHL is a business. Cam Janssen is a fan favorite and it would not be in the Blue's best interest to get rid of him, especially considering his salary is pretty small as it is.

It's not likely he'll get the call, but I'm sure he's honored just to be in the conversation. This would probably be his last opportunity to play in a big worldwide hockey tournament of any sort for Team Canada. Big-ups to the skull-bearded one!
