Announced earlier today, the Blues have traded defensemen Scott Ford to Milwaukee for forward Jani Lajunen and two others.
Originally drafted by Nashville in 2008, Lajunen has played in 40 games this season for the Admirals. He has scored a goal and posted four assists in the season so far.
Ford, who was named captain of the Rivermen this year, goes back to Milwaukee where he served as captain last year. In 43 games for the Rivermen he has posted 6 points, being credited with 2 goals and 4 assists.
Also acquired in the deal were forward Andre Bouvet-Morrissett and goalie Zoltan Hetenyi. Morrissett currently plays for the Cincinnati Cyclones. In 20 games played this year he has posted 2 points. Hetenyi who also plays for the Cyclones has played in 13 games with a 2.43 GAA and a Save percentage of .913. It seems, at least for now, both players will be staying at the ECHL level.
