The St. Louis Blues head to Calgary tonight, the first of a brief West Coast road trip. Tonight, David Backes is a game time decision with a groin strain. Alex Steen also missed morning skate with an illness. He is expected to play tonight.
The Blues ended their 5 game losing streak on the road in Detroit on Wednesday night with a young Jake Allen making his NHL debut. Allen will make his second consecutive start with the Blues tonight, giving Brian Elliott another night off. Hopefully having a young goaltender pushing the team along Elliott will find his fire again.
The Calgary Flames have had a bumpy start to their season, but have been on an upward swing in the month of February. Three of the Flames 4 wins have come in the past two weeks, and they recently blew the Stars out 7-4. Tonight, the Flames are sure to be looking to continue their luck against a rookie goaltender.
Who will score first for the Blues tonight? Give us your best guess! Remember, you just need to comment on this post to be entered into the contest; the person with the most correct guesses at the end of the season will win something dripping with Blues awesomeness.
