How will Pittsburgh Penguins fans remember the Eric Tangradi era?
hey likely won’t unless they’re told its directly lined to the Chris Kunitz era which lead to the franchises third Stanley Cup win. Today their GM, Ray Shero, sent the other half of the Ryan Whitney trade packing to Siberia Winnipeg in exchange for a 7th round draft pick.
In 45 games spread out over four seasons with the Pens Tangradi accumulated only 1 goal and 4 assists. The 24 year old native of Philadelphia, PA was originally drafted 42nd overall (2nd round) in 2007.
Earlier this season the Jets also claimed St. Louis Blues / Peoria Rivermen forward Anthony Peluso off waivers.
Tangradi’s claim to fame? Besides his Twitter account he is known as the guy Trevor Gillies cheap shotted in that crazy Pens vs. Isles brawlfest nearly two years ago.
