Chris Porter is BAAAACK…

Update: The Porter signing has been confirmed by the Blues. They also announced that Anthony Peluso and Brett Sonne have also re-signed. All three take 1 year, two-way deals.

According to Andy Strickland of KFNS 590 AM and True Hockey, forward Chris Porter is expected to return to St. Louis on a one year contract.
@andystrickland: Chris Porter will be returning to the #stlblues …expect announcement on a one-year extension soon #NHL
The Toronto native has been in the Blues organization since 2007 and recorded 8 goals and 16 points in 98 NHL games. Porter has also appeared in 272 AHL contests with the Peoria Rivermen.
Porter was originally drafted 282nd overall, 9th round, by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2003. He was also a teammate of fellow Blues forward TJ Oshie at North Dakota.
Assuming the signing becomes official, Doug Armstrong now has five 4th line options heading in to the season. They are Vladimir Sobotka, Jamie Langenbrunner, Scott Nichol, Ryan Reaves and Porter. There would also be 12 one way contracts on the books before Oshie signs. Not to mention Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko who are ready for big show minutes but on entry level deals.
Something has to give? Probably.
