Video: Classy Salute to Halak by Canadiens Fans

Halak was cheered off the ice like he was at Scottrade as pictured above, but the Blues played in Montreal Tuesday night.

The St. Louis Blues pretty much coasted on to a 3-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens following Jaroslav Halak‘s momentous 1st period save on former teammate Tomas Plekanec‘s shorty attempt. Normally a shutout earns love from the fans, but not when the good guys are away from Scottrade Center. Well, the love in Montreal for Halak isn’t normal. In fact, it’s pretty rare to see that fan base fall in love so fast and hard with a non-French Canadian. That abnormality likely explains the curtain call for their one time playoff hero just seconds after booing their team off the ice.
