Q’s Cuties: Blues @ Wild | November 5, 2011
Welcome to tonight’s Cutie Watch! Today’s edition is the “quick and dirty” edition, as time is incredibly short in our house today. The Blues gave fans more to celebrate than just the Cardinals last night with their win against Vancouver. Even with a flub from Chris Stewart, the team looked pretty “together” in front of netminder Brian Elliott. The tired Blues will need to keep their energy up if they want to come away with another win tonight in Minnesota. Here’s who my eye will be on:
Scott Nichol #12: This cutie is starting to make a name for himself on the Blues. While he isn’t necessarily the “hottest” player on the team, with only 1 point so far this season, he is standing up for his team. Nichol had a great throwdown with Canucks’ David Booth in last night’s game. Check out the Fight Card info here. Watch for this cutie to look to keep his team plowing forward tonight.
Wild Cutie to Watch: The Wild have been a hot team so far this season with a 6-3-3 record. They are coming into tonight’s game with a 3 game winning streak, with their last win coming against the Canucks on Thursday. The Wild had last night off, so they will be looking to jump on a tired team tonight. Here’s who I’ll be watching:
Josh Harding #37, Goal: This cutie has been carrying the Wild team on his shoulders lately. In his 4 starts, he has just one loss, and that loss came in overtime. He has 1 shutout thus far, and a remarkable 0964 SV% and 1.22 GAA. Harding has been responsible for the 3 game Wild winning streak, and will be counted on to start tonight. Look for this cutie to be pushing away every chance he can against the Blues tonight.
