Q’s Cuties: Blues @ Flyers | October 22, 2011
Welcome to tonight’s cute watch! The Blues gave fans a big win in overtime. Goalie Brian Elliott made another great glove save, and looked pretty good overall throughout the game. While the Blues special teams still looked a bit shaky, it seems that a fire has been lit under the team and they are starting to work harder as a unit. Tonight, the Blues are in Philadelphia- it’s going to be a tough one since they didn’t get into town until after 2:30 Eastern time this morning. Here’s who my eye will be on:![]()
Patrik Berglund #21: This cutie seems to be working to figure out how to use his size to his adavantage this season. He is third on the team in points (4) so far this year. Berglund has been working hard to get out of a rut that started in the beginning of the season, and fans can expect him to continue to play he behind off for the Blues. The number 1 reason Berglund is featured tonight? His absolutely hilarious “Happy Halloween” message on the jumbotron last night. In it, Patrik hid his face behind a pumpkin, then moved it and said “boo.” I about fell out of my seat. Keep your eye on this cutie to be the hard working jovial Swede we have grown to love tonight.
Flyers Cutie to Watch: The Flyers have won 4 of their 6 games so far this season. They are definitely a team to watch out for. While the Flyers are coming into tonight’s game after a tough 5-2 loss against the Capitals, they have the advantage of rest before the action on their home ice. Here’s who I’ll be watching tonight:
Claude Giroux #28, Right Wing: This cutie may not be the prettiest player on the team, but he is definitely the hottest. Giroux has 8 points in the Flyers 6 games. He currently leads the team in points and in goals (5), and sits at a minus one. Giroux had a career high 76 points in his last season with the Flyers, which was his 3 season with the Flyers and only 2nd full season in the NHL. Giroux also dominated for the Flyers in the 2011 post-season, with 12 points in 11 games. Look for this cutie to be a dominating offensive force tonight against the Blues. And also, say his name a few times out loud, just for fun. My husband loves this guy simply for his name: Gah-ROO!
