Blues Trim Training Camp Roster to 29
One day after the Blues made 12 cuts from the camp crew he announced that a further 12 have been sent to AHL affiliate Peoria. Leaving 29 in camp with approximately six cuts to go before the final 23 will be finalized. the lengthy list includes Jonathan Cheechoo, T.J. Hensick, Brett Sterling, Jake Allen, Jay Barriball, Mark Cundari, Cade Fairchild, Kyle Hagel, Anthony Nigro, Anthony Peluso, Brett Ponich and Danny Syvret.
Left on the bubble are Evgeny Grachev, Phil McRae, Chris Porter, Ryan Reaves, Ian Cole, Ben Bishop and Brian Elliott.
No surprises in this round of cuts. Just clarifications of who is really fighting who for recall order and who will make a run for the extra skater openings.

What are the Blues thinking? Why are you sending Sterling to the Rivermen? Sterling should be on the 2nd line with Berglund and Oshie. If Oshie gets hurt STL has to put Sterling into that spot. There is not reason why Sterling is on the Rivermen and have Steen on the 2nd line instead of with the vets – Arnott & Langenbrunner.
