Blues Release the Cracknell on Peoria

Per official release by the St. Louis Blues, Forward Adam Cracknell has been reassigned to the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL.

In 24 games with the Blues this season Cracknell has 3 goals and 7 points. In 55 games with the Rivermen he has registered 6 goals and 21 points.

Analysis

This was an expected move given TJ Oshie’s return to the lineup Friday. Though no roster spot must be opened to allow TJ to come back, the Rivermen are in a big time fight for a ticket to the Calder Cup playoffs and need all hands on deck to make it in.

Cracknell is a Restricted Free Agent (RFA) at the end of the season. He has done well enough in his NHL audition to likely earn a one year, two way deal to come back for 2011-12. He would be a depth forward who can make the commute between Peoria and St. Louis.
