As of Saturday the 22nd the Aces are 21-15-2-0 with 44 points. They sit 3rd in the Western Conference’s Mountain Division.

News & Notes
Forward and captain Scott Burt was activated from IR on the 21st. He missed an extended period of time due to a broken hand.
January 20th: Forward Maxime Tanguay traded to Utah for Forward Tyler Ruegsegger. [Article on AlaskaAces.com]
Check out Doyle Woody’s blog for ADN.com (Anchorage Daily News). He’s covered hockey in all its various forms in Alaska for nearly 30 years. According to Woody, the trade for Ruesegger was all about offense. The former University of Denver Forward has only 7 goals and 14 points in 35 ECHL games, but put up 123 points in 147 games in his Pioneers career. He also says former Aces defenseman Ryan Turek is ECHL All Start Game bound.
