Around theNHL

Maybe Mac was right on Hockey Central. Kadri plays on the wing and has a heck of a game. Still a ways to go, but it’s a start.

So… Former NHL player Michael Peca made some comments about the Flames Jay Bouwmeester that were not so kind. Perhaps Meester’s level of play needs to improve more so than Peca being out of line? Too much fuss and not a thick enough skin. The Flames front office is just making it worse at this point.

Why so many teams passed on Cam Fowler is beyond me. He looks to be making the Ducks roster out of camp.

Question: Jaroslav Halak has only appeared in one game so far this preseason. In that game he allowed three goals on 18 shots. Is there cause for alarm?

Yes or No?

The thing that raised a bit of red flag for me was just the comments he made and the “what’s the big deal?” kind of vibe that he projected. I’m sure he’ll be fine. Especially with an apparently resurgent Ben Bishop nipping at his heels.
