Follow Perron and Help Haiti

Blues Forward David Perron is one of the new age NHL players taking on social networking. He is on Twitter and Facebook. Fans seem to appreciate his close interaction.

Like many other more fortunate folks, Perron is trying to give back. He is not the first NHL player or team to try to raise money to send to Haiti. However, that doesn’t stop him from trying. David tweeted today that from today through the end of the month for every new follower he acquires on Twitter, he will donate $1 to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

Classy move by the young man. Fans like to wrap themselves up in his slick moves and tricky shot, but David is still a human being. It’s a nice gesture to see his wallet open for others when he isn’t sur ehow much is going to be taken out.

Blues fans…go get yourself a Twitter account and follow DP_57.

The aftermath of the quake and human suffering are devastating! Millions have lost everything – homes, food, jobs! For the next 12 months, the World Food Programme says 2 million people will need critical food assistance!
