Gameday 01-12-10: Blues vs Blue Jackets

Do not have time for a full one today, sorry folks. Work is a beast and just so busy I don’t have any free time during the day and at night, well I need some relax time.

I just wanted to pass along some quick FYIs.

- Keith Tkachuk and Paul Kariya are back.
- Andy McDonald is out.
- Yan Stastny was sent back to Peoria.

Tkachuk, Kariya and Derek Armstrong have been seen skating on a line together according to Dan O’Neill of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Andy Strickland confirms the “old man line” and says Chris Mason will be in net.

Here’s to hoping for a strong showing minus the speedy spark plug that is Andy McDonald.

Garon will be in net for the Blue Jackets. Surprised to not see Steve Mason? I’m not. He has been horribly inconsistent and generally poor. How do I know? He is killing my keeper league.

This will prove to be a big game for both cellar dwellers. Columbus needs a win to keep Hitch behind the bench and the Blues need to build on their improved play from the road trip.
